The two-school problem
If your children end up at different schools, the question that decides your mornings is not how far each one is from home — it is how far they are from each other. No other Dubai school guide answers that, so we built it.
What this does and does not tell you. It gives the straight-line distance between two schools’ districts, which is enough to rule a pairing in or out before you spend an afternoon on it. It is not a drive time. Dubai traffic at 7am does not follow straight lines, and our pins are district-level rather than gate-level. Use this to shortlist, then use the live directions link on each school’s page to test the real route at the real hour.

What to do with the answer
- Under 5 km apart. A realistic single loop most mornings. Still test it at 7am — two school gates on one road can be worse than ten kilometres apart.
- 5 to 12 km. Workable, usually with two drops or a bus for one child. Ask both schools which districts their buses serve before you commit, and what transport costs — our fees page shows why it belongs in the budget from the start.
- Over 12 km. Assume two separate journeys. That is not a reason to rule a pairing out, but it is a reason to price it and to try it once, on a school morning, before you sign anything.
Whatever the number, the fixed points are the same: school-run traffic peaks roughly 7–8am, and the only route that counts is the one from your own front door. See every school on the map or go back to the register.
