Strengths the inspectors named:
- Very Good in 2023-24, up from the Good awarded at its first inspection in March 2022 - rapid progress for a school that opened in 2017 with 170 students and had over 1,400 by its third inspection.
- English rated Outstanding across the whole school - unusual in a French-curriculum setting - with French, mathematics and science all Very Good, and Outstanding progress in French in Primaire and Collège.
- 109 teachers supported by 15 teaching assistants and a guidance counsellor, predominantly French nationals.
- Part of the AEFE-accredited network, with a purpose-built south campus extending the model.
What they asked the school to improve:
- A young school still completing its senior years - at the 2024 inspection it ran to Première, so the full Terminale track record is still being built.
- The overall rating understates the improvement: read the phase detail rather than the single word.
Inclusion (students of determination): Very Good - 120 students of determination on a 1:13 ratio, and the inspectors’ description is one of the most complete in this register. The school meets the physical needs of students of determination including wheelchair users. The inclusion leader sits within the school’s Pôle d’Inclusion - a team comprising two psychologists or counsellors, the principal, heads of phase and a governor - so inclusion has leadership, clinical expertise and governance in one room. Most lesson plans are carefully differentiated so that students of determination have relevant and meaningful activities pitched at their own level, with in-lesson support where needed to aid access, independence and resilience. Identification runs through observation and analysis of assessment data, and the team works with parents to celebrate successes and build children’s self-esteem. Parents of students of determination are described as actively engaged with functional, trusted feedback mechanisms. The published gap: middle leaders and classroom teachers lack sufficient understanding to use assessment data effectively for differentiated planning.
