Strengths the inspectors named:
- A fully inclusive school, with excellent care and support for all students - the inspectors' own phrasing, and unusual to see stated so plainly.
- Self-disciplined, considerate students with a strong desire to learn and to take responsibility.
- Supportive partnerships with parents, who are fully engaged in the life of the school.
- Capable leaders, very competent staff and committed governors who hold leaders to account.
- Safe, well-maintained learning and recreational areas, and high-quality resources. Safeguarding is called thorough and very effective.
- Attainment in mathematics in Secondary has risen to outstanding; English is Very Good or better across every phase.
What they asked the school to improve:
- Raise achievement in all subjects to Very Good or better - the single recommendation, and the gap between this school and Outstanding. Islamic Education and Arabic sit at Acceptable in Secondary and Post-16 while English and mathematics are well above.
