Strengths the inspectors named:

  • Students' achievement in Islamic Education and Arabic - the reverse of the usual pattern in this register, where those are the subjects schools are told to fix.
  • Students' awareness of Islamic values and Emirati culture.
  • Rigorous procedures for health and safety, including safeguarding.
  • Personalised support for senior students, and career guidance.

What they asked the school to improve:

  • Raise achievement, particularly in English, mathematics and science.
  • Ensure the governing body represents all stakeholders and complies with statutory requirements - a compliance finding, and the most serious item on this list.
  • Provide consistently high-quality teaching.
