What the inspectors said
Strengths the inspectors named:
- Acceptable retained in December 2023 - a fourth consecutive Acceptable, and a genuine recovery from three straight years rated Weak between 2016 and 2019.
- Attainment in Filipino, the language of instruction, is rated Good across all four phases - a real strength, and the reason many families choose the school.
- Students’ personal and social development is a notable strength: respectful behaviour, positive attitudes, strong understanding of Islamic values and UAE culture, and well-developed social responsibility among older students.
- Internal benchmark assessments over two years show English sustained at a good level and mathematics improving from Acceptable to Good; the PIRLS 2021 average of 537 was described by inspectors as close to target.
- Among the most affordable licensed private schools in Dubai at roughly AED 6,400-16,300, delivering the full Philippine Department of Education curriculum from KG1 to Grade 12.
What they asked the school to improve:
- Achievement overall is Acceptable, with Arabic as an additional language the weakest area.
- Inconsistencies between the school’s internal data and standards actually observed point to a need for more accurate assessment - a specific, checkable finding.
- Science declined from Outstanding to Very Good in benchmark assessments, and innovation and critical thinking are less consistently embedded than social responsibility.
- Four cycles at Acceptable: stabilised after a difficult period, and not yet through to the Good tier the regulator expects.
Inclusion (students of determination): Acceptable in KHDA’s directory and its published 2023-24 ratings table, matching the school’s overall judgement. An earlier version of this page said Weak, resolving a conflict between sources the wrong way; both KHDA records agree on Acceptable, and the correction is in our change log. What is consistent across sources: 101 students of determination were identified in 2023-24, a qualified inclusion leader has been appointed and resources allocated, and parents report positive relationships with the inclusion and counselling teams particularly around social and emotional support. Equally consistent are the limits - individual learning support plans vary in quality and do not consistently ensure full access to the curriculum or promote independence, provision for gifted students remains underdeveloped, and curriculum pathways for students of determination are limited, particularly regarding future qualifications and post-school options.
