What the inspectors said

Paraphrased from the last full DSIB inspection we could verify (2023–24 cycle) and its published record — read the complete report on the official KHDA directory. These findings are from the 2023–24 cycle and are now more than two years old. Leadership, staffing and provision can change substantially in that time — see the note below on why every rating in Dubai is older than it looks.

Strengths the inspectors named:

  • The first Philippine school established in Dubai, founded 1992 to serve the emirate’s Filipino community, running the Philippine K-12 curriculum from KG1 to Grade 12 for 1,823 students on a purpose-built campus in Muhaisnah 1.
  • Personal development, understanding of Islamic values and social responsibility are rated Outstanding across all phases — a rare distinction, and a meaningful one for a school built on character and community.
  • Teaching reaches Very Good in Senior High, governance is Good and parental engagement Very Good.
  • Among the most affordable in the private sector at roughly AED 5,500 to 12,000, with mother-tongue instruction alongside UAE regulatory compliance.

What they asked the school to improve:

  • Acceptable since 2019–20, following a downgrade from three consecutive Good ratings — this school has been better than it currently is, which is a fair thing to raise with leaders.
  • Kindergarten and Primary are the weakest phases: mathematics attainment Acceptable in both, science progress Acceptable in both, English progress only Acceptable in KG.
  • Assessment is uniformly Acceptable across every phase — a flat finding that inspectors read as systemic underuse of data.
  • Curriculum adaptation for students of determination and gifted learners is only Acceptable, against a curriculum rated Good overall.

Inclusion (students of determination): Acceptable in KHDA’s official Inclusion Rating Table — and inspectors were specific about why: curriculum adaptation for students of determination and gifted learners is rated only Acceptable, against a curriculum rated Good overall. So the school’s teaching plan is stronger than its adaptation of that plan for children who need it changed. That gap is the thing to ask about, with examples. Weigh it against personal development rated Outstanding across all phases, which suggests the culture is ahead of the machinery. See the special educational needs guide for the questions to ask on a visit.

Inspector summaries are being added school by school as each report is read — 212 of 212 so far, dated per cycle, never invented. A school without a summary yet is unread, not unjudged.
