Strengths the inspectors named:

- Foundation Stage is the standout - Outstanding in English, mathematics, teaching, assessment and curriculum.
- Exceptional care and wellbeing provision, and exemplary personal development and behaviour.
- The principal’s vision and commitment, supported by influential governors.

- Consistency of teaching quality across phases remains the area for development.
- Arabic and Islamic Education improving under new leadership, but not yet matching the rest of the profile.
Inclusion (students of determination): Very Good - 140 students designated with additional learning needs at the February 2024 inspection, a significant 11% of the roll. Inspectors record that governors and leaders hold a clear vision for inclusion with a strong drive for high-quality teaching, that identification processes are detailed and accurate producing relevant and purposeful interventions, and that most students of determination make better than expected progress. Provision for SEND and for the more able, gifted and talented runs through the Repton Achievement Base, a single named structure covering both ends of the ability range, with individual education plans and learning support assistants. Two published limits worth knowing: alternative pathways for students with complex needs are still being developed, so ask exactly what exists today - and the school is growing from a few hundred pupils toward more than 1,300 as it becomes all-through, which is real pressure on space, resources and systems.
