What the inspectors said

Paraphrased from the last full DSIB inspection we could verify (2023-24 cycle) and its published record - read the complete report on the official KHDA directory. These findings are from the 2023-24 cycle and are now more than two years old. Leadership, staffing and provision can change substantially in that time - see the note below on why every rating in Dubai is older than it looks.

Strengths the inspectors named:

  • Good at its first KHDA inspection in October 2023, with 997 students, 89 teachers and 14 teaching assistants - a strong first judgement for a young school.
  • The curriculum is unusual and inspectors said so, describing it as ‘well designed and imaginative’: EYFS in Kindergarten, the National Curriculum of England through Primary and Middle, UAE priorities, and then preparation for CBSE board examinations. That hybrid is deliberate rather than accidental.
  • Stronger arts provision than a CBSE school would normally suggest, and inspectors noted excellent behaviour standards.
  • Scholarships published rather than negotiated, including the Zayed-Gandhi Merit-Cum-Means Grant and a Next Gen Global Skills Grant.

What they asked the school to improve:

  • A young school on the Dubai timeline - its first Grade 10 CBSE cohort sat examinations only in March 2022. The school reported a 100% pass rate but did not publish divisions or student numbers, so the headline figure cannot be interpreted.
  • Good rather than Very Good at first inspection: ask what the improvement plan funds and who answers for it.
  • The academic year runs April to March on the Indian calendar - a real logistical factor if you are moving from a September-start system.
  • Our own sources conflict on this school’s location and fees, and we are publishing the disagreement rather than choosing. KHDA’s directory records the school in Al Quoz; our register previously said Academic City, founded 2010, at roughly AED 13,000 to 26,000. Other published sources place the campus on Meydan Road, give a later founding date, and quote roughly AED 16,500 to 34,800. Some figures are also net of a Dubai Global Scholarship, and students beyond the first 500 have historically paid more. Confirm the campus address and the KHDA-approved fee schedule that applies to your child directly with the school before you rely on either figure.

Inclusion (students of determination): Good - 35 students of determination at the 2023-24 inspection: secure identification systems, plans that modify the curriculum with academic and personal targets, and adaptations suited to each student; assessment processes also identify students with gifts and talents.
