Strengths the inspectors named:

  • The children's very positive behaviour and their understanding of Emirati culture.
  • A very strong and caring ethos, with excellent provision for health and safety.
  • Supportive parents, positively involved in the life of the kindergarten.

What they asked the school to improve:

  • Raise expectations in teaching, and meet the needs of different groups of children.
  • Use assessment information to plan lessons that build on what children already know and can do.
  • Provide more focused, child-centred learning activities - the phrase to put to the head on a visit, because it is the difference between a happy room and a room where children are learning.
  • Develop more accurate self-evaluation to guide improvement planning.
