Strengths the inspectors named:
- Good in 2023-24, held after the breakthrough in 2022-23 that followed four consecutive Acceptable cycles - with Primary English, mathematics and science improving to Very Good this round.
- Health, safety and child protection rated Outstanding across all four phases - a rare distinction that reflects real institutional commitment rather than paperwork.
- Wellbeing Very Good, purposefully embedded through policies, action plans and curriculum adaptations; parent engagement also Very Good.
- Inclusion is the standout: Very Good across three consecutive cycles, with 480 students of determination on roll and a specialist team of a Head of Inclusion, two SENCOs, three counsellors, eight specialist teachers, three EAL specialists and gifted-and-talented provision.
- Alternative curriculum pathways - including ASDAN and iBTEC - that widen what a student can actually leave with, alongside a strengthened middle-leadership structure.
