What the inspectors said
Strengths the inspectors named:
- Good on its third inspection in November 2023, with a smattering of Very Good and Outstanding ratings inside the report.
- An established system to identify students of determination and provide effective personalised support for them, in the inspectors’ words.
- Remarkable local standing: around 974 of some 1,200 students are Emirati - far higher than either sibling campus, and a genuine indicator of community trust.
- State-of-the-art facilities on a 65,000 square foot site, within the AMSI group’s shared resource across three Dubai campuses.
What they asked the school to improve:
- The open question inspectors’ record invites: whether this newest branch has the resources and ambition to climb above Good, or whether the group is content to meet the floor, not the standard - its sibling campuses have sat at Good for seven and eight years respectively.
- A young school still completing its growth: ask which year groups are fully staffed and settled.
Inclusion (students of determination): The school has an established system to identify students of determination and to provide effective personalised support for them, in the inspectors’ own words. The group’s SEND admissions policy applies here too: the Principal and Senior Leadership Team admit students when they determine adequate provision can be made, with an external assessment from an educational psychologist or occupational therapist expected to inform planning, and KHDA’s ‘Advocating for Inclusive Education’ parent guide published alongside. This is the newest of the three campuses, opened in 2018, so ask specifically how the inclusion team here is staffed rather than assuming parity with the older schools. See the special educational needs guide for the questions to ask on a visit.
Inspector summaries are being added school by school as each report is read - 221 of 230 so far, dated per cycle, never invented. A school without a summary yet is unread, not unjudged.

What we don't know about this school
Every other page on this site tells you what we have verified. This one tells you what we have not, because a register you cannot calibrate is worth less than one you can. We do not currently hold:
- its fees - this school has not published them
- whether it is co-educational, boys or girls
- how many children are on roll
- its facilities - sports, arts, science, library
- published exam results or university destinations
- what registration, transport, uniform and meals add to the fee
- the year it opened - the figure we held was wrong on every school we checked
None of it is guessed or filled in from a similar school. Ask for any of it using the form below and it moves up the queue - requests are how we decide what to collect next.
Ask this school a question - we'll do the asking
Tell us the year group, and we will ask Al Mawakeb School Al Khawaneej what it costs, whether there is a place, and what the next step is. Then we send you what they say. Every answer we get is also checked into this school's record, so the next parent finds it already here.
Your details stay with us. We contact the school ourselves, and we do not pass your name or address to them, or to any agent, unless you ask us to. No school pays to appear in this guide, and none can pay to change what it says.
