What the inspectors said
Paraphrased from the last full DSIB inspection we could verify (2023–24 cycle) and its published record — read the complete report on the official KHDA directory. These findings are from the 2023–24 cycle and are now more than two years old. Leadership, staffing and provision can change substantially in that time — see the note below on why every rating in Dubai is older than it looks.
Strengths the inspectors named:
- Among the most affordable full Grade 1 to 12 schools anywhere in Dubai — roughly AED 2,673 to 4,038 a year, delivering the Iranian curriculum in Persian for boys aged 6 to 18 in Al Qusais 1.
- Pockets of Good practice, particularly in science and in the High School.
- The school welcomes students of determination, identification systems are in place, and a specialist unit provides tailored support.
- A new principal was appointed in June 2023 with a mandate covering academic expectations, teaching quality and self-evaluation — so the record you are reading was earned partly under different leadership.
What they asked the school to improve:
- Acceptable at every inspection since they began in 2011 — ten consecutive cycles at the floor rather than the standard. That is the honest headline whatever the direction of travel.
- KHDA identified a specific safeguarding gap: not all new staff consistently sign child protection documentation on joining. Leadership was told to address it as a priority — ask directly whether it has been, and how it is now monitored.
- Gifted and talented identification systems are still emerging and require further development.
- Parents themselves raise facilities, English language provision and curriculum breadth — the same areas KHDA identified.
Inclusion (students of determination): The school welcomes students of determination, identification systems are in place, and a specialist unit provides tailored support — which at fees of roughly AED 2,673 to 4,038 is notable. Two published caveats belong beside it: gifted and talented identification is still emerging and requires further development, and KHDA found that not all new staff consistently sign child protection documentation on joining, which leadership was told to treat as a priority. Ask whether that has been resolved and how it is now monitored. See the special educational needs guide for the questions to ask on a visit.
Inspector summaries are being added school by school as each report is read — 212 of 212 so far, dated per cycle, never invented. A school without a summary yet is unread, not unjudged.
