Outstanding held across recent cycles — a large, well-established UK/IB all-through school of around 1,790 students, including 224 students of determination.
Consistently strong post-16 outcomes across the IB Diploma and BTEC routes underpin the sixth form’s reputation.

Inclusion (students of determination): Outstanding — and the most comprehensively staffed inclusion operation documented in this register. Across both JESS campuses close to 400 students, roughly 15% of the roll, are registered as students of determination, supported by an inclusion team of 23 staff: Teachers of Inclusion, Independent Learning Support Assistants, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. A further 452 students receive English as an Additional Language support, and 346 are identified as gifted and talented through the High Potential Learners Programme.
