What the inspectors said
Paraphrased from the last full DSIB inspection (2023–24 cycle) and its published record — read the complete report on the official KHDA directory.
Strengths the inspectors named:
- Good in February 2024, confirming the March 2023 breakthrough — the rating that allowed the school to continue its growth to Grade 12.
- The climb is documented and real: Acceptable at its first inspection in February 2019, Acceptable again in 2020, and Acceptable once more in May 2022 before two consecutive Goods.
- The American curriculum delivered with a strong Islamic Studies focus including Quran recitation — the Creative Science model, under BEAM Education.
- Inspectors in the 2022 cycle recorded clear improvements that the overall rating at the time did not acknowledge, which is exactly the pattern the following two ratings confirmed.
What they asked the school to improve:
- Three Acceptable cycles sit in recent history: the improvement is genuine and recent, so ask what is sustaining it and who is accountable.
- The school shared a site with its sister International School of Creative Science under separate leadership, with a move to its own campus planned — confirm exactly which campus your child will attend and when.
- Two cycles at Good: the next step has not yet been taken.
Inclusion (students of determination): Very Good for provision and outcomes for students of determination — above the school’s Good overall rating. Inspectors describe an inclusive ethos, personalised interventions, close parent communication and careful monitoring of progress, delivered through the Effective Learning Provision team, which supports students of determination with planned accommodations, modifications and personalised intervention programmes. Wellbeing is Very Good and health, safety and safeguarding are Outstanding across all phases. Set against it, the honest limits: Arabic attainment is weaker than the school’s strongest core subjects, mathematics consistency is uneven across phases, and there are no published senior external examination results yet to benchmark outcomes against. See the special educational needs guide for the questions to ask on a visit.
Inspector summaries are being added school by school as each report is read — 169 of 169 so far, dated per cycle, never invented. A school without a summary yet is unread, not unjudged.
